We were formed in April 1987 to offer a reconditioning service for all types of thread cutting and rolling dieheads, tapping heads and roller boxes. To carry out these tasks we manufactured spare parts for the majority of these tools. We sold some of these parts to engineers for in-house repairs. We also purchased surplus used tooling and refurbished it for resale.
Subsequently we became distributors and stockists for major manufacturers
of diehead chasers and thread rolls. These included Deeming Taylor Ltd and
Slater Tangent Ltd, manufacturers respectively of Coventry and Tangential
chasers. We also took over the UK and Eire agency for Alco (Spain) who
manufacture thread rolling heads and rolls. Eventually we became main stockists for Robertson Tooling Ltd, who took over Deeming Taylor Ltd.
We built up large stocks of diehead chasers and rolls, not only standards, but
also specials, and became the holders of probably the largest stocks of these
items in UK. At the same time we developed a staff of experienced people who could converse with engineers and distributors on their own terms. We were thus able to offer excellent service both technically and on price and availability.
During the last few years we have diversified within our speciality. We have
built up large stocks of standard and special threading taps and dies, as well
as screw ring and plug gauges. Because we stock in bulk we are able to offer
excellent terms, especially for resale.
We have gained a good reputation for quality and service, both at home and abroad, which we aim to maintain or even enhance. Our ambition is to always try to improve on our service to our customers and to be able to offer quality, on demand, at the right price.
